Alliance India’s internship programme is dedicated to the warm memory of Arpit Bhalla, a vibrant, kind and brilliant young gay man who briefly worked with us in 2019. He passed away in June 2020 while being treated for brain haemorrhage. He was barely 22 and had a whole portion of promising future ahead of him. His untimely demise left his family, close friends and a wide circle of people he crossed paths with in utter shock and grief. He was known for relentlessly promoting LGBTQI+ rights not just as a participant but also by leading dialogues through public events, workshops and group discussions starting from Hansraj College, Delhi University to offices, social media, and print media. In such a short period he managed to create a memorable impact. His sudden passing away is a huge loss for the community. Alliance India would like to continue his legacy and fulfil his dreams of creating a just world for individuals belonging to the LGBTQI+ community.

We are inviting applications for winter internships. Please see the job description below. To honour Arpit Bhalla, we will give preference to individuals belonging to the LGBTQI+ community.
